Everything is controlled by the Touch panel on the top right-hand side of the podium

From the main screen you can touch anywhere on the screen and it should start the system.

IF the screen has gone to sleep, it may be black, but touching it should wake it up and start the system.

In rooms with Projectors when the room is turned on, the microphones will be muted for the first 90 seconds to 2 minutes.
This will prevent an audio issue that can occur when the system is started up, and give the projector time to fully warm up,
and be able to receive commands.

Once the system starts up it will default to the Room PC, and a few other settings. You can make changes from the default, if

you wish. Click on the source, and then click the destination below to where you want to send it.

PLEASE NOTE the capture device source, is what is being sent to the "camera" on the room PC, when you do something like a Teams, Collaborate, or Zoom remote meeting.

Options include:

  • Laptop – Uses the HDMI input on the top of the podium
Note – Laptop will not get camera or microphone feeds.
  • Camera Controls – Allows you to move the camera or set one of the pre-configured locations or to modify those.
  • Room PC – Display content from the podium PC itself
  • Projector Blackout – If you want to use the whiteboard and not display PC content the blackout will turn the projector
output dark until you turn it back on with the Projector On button
  • Projector On – Return from the Projector Blackout Option
  • Epson iProjection – Will allow use of the Epson iProjection application on Faculty laptops to wirelessly connect to the
projector if that is still wanted/needed.
Note – Wireless projection will not give you Camera or Microphone inputs to the laptop.
  • Camera – Displays the camera to the projector screen in the room.

At the bottom of the screen notice the power button, speaker icon, volume slider, and microphone icon.

  • Power Button – Turn off the podium controls.
  • Speaker icon – Mute the sound being played into the room
  • Volume slider – Adjust the volume into the classroom (should be roughly 50%)
  • Microphone icon – Mute the microphones into the room, or into any remote calls.

If you are doing a synchronous learning, Teams/Zoom/Collaborate session you can use the camera controls to adjust the
camera to your desired location. Zoom in, out, and focus options are there for adjustments as well.

There are 4 presets, but you are able to save a preset if you want to move it from the one pre-configured. Just use the arrow

keys to move the camera where you want to display, and then click on the save button, and then click on the preset you would like to save it to.
PLEASE NOTE: This will save this preset for all users that use this podium

The power button in the bottom left hand corner of the control screen will shut the system down. It will pop up with a confirmation

box and then a shutdown timer to turn the projector, camera feed, etc off.

PLEASE NOTE: This will not log you out of the podium desktop session.

Projector rooms and ClearTouch rooms have slightly different controls and options.
