Enroll into MFA

Multi-factor authentication is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of verification evidence.

Robeson Community College uses Microsoft's MFA as its preferred security mechanism. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app for the best enrollment experience.

The application icon looks similar to this:

The Authenticator App can be found in your iOS App or Android Play store. You can also use the following QR codes to locate the software.

The Authenticator App is not required. However, you will have a better MFA experience using it.

Login with your full email address.

You will get a prompt asking for you more information.

This is the enrollment page.

For the best experience, select the Mobile App option in step one.

Select the Receive Notifications for Verification option and click Set Up.

Use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. Add a new Work or School account and select Scan QR Code.

Allow the app to use your camera if prompted. Hole the camera to your personal QR code. This code is for your account only and should not be shared.

Click Next and select Receive Notifications for Verification and Click Next again.

On your mobile device you will be prompted to approve this test authentication

After you approve the test, you are required to setup a backup telephone number. This is helpful if your device is unavailable because it is lost, replaced, low on battery, etc...

Select your country code on the drop-down menu and type out your backup telephone number. It does not matter if you include dashes.

Verify ownership of the telephone number by having the system send you a test Text message or telephone call. Enter the numbers sent to you and click Verify to complete the enrollment steps.

Once this wizard is completed you can close the browser and you are MFA ready.

Visit support.robeson.edu and click on the MFA section to modify or review your current enrollment status.
